Organic Clemson Spineless Okra

$3.29

Big beautiful cream colored flowers and tasty spineless light green fruits adorn this classic okra variety all summer long. This go-to variety doesn’t have spines, making it much easier to handle in the garden. The flowers are edible too!

Plant Preferences:

Okra is a heat loving plant that won’t germinate or grow well in cool climates. If planting from transplants, take care not to disturb the roots.

When to Sow:

Sow seeds outdoors in the spring or summer after the soil has warmed, or indoors about 4 weeks earlier.

Harvest:

Harvest okra when they reach about 6 inches long, making sure to pick the plants every other day to keep up production on the plant. If the fruit doesn’t cut easily from the plant, it has over-ripened and will be tough textured.

Days to Maturity:

50-65 days with full sun

Sowing Depth:

1/2"

Plant Spacing:

Space seeds/seedlings 12" apart
