Organic English Thyme
$4.99
English Thyme – Thymus vulgaris
A very aromatic herb with a mild spice and slight earthy flavor. Used fresh or dry in countess dishes. The small white flowers make this a great low-growing ornamental too.
SOW seeds indoors at any time, or about 8 to 10 weeks before your last frost date if planting out. Small groupings of plants should be spaced 6 inches apart.
HARVEST but cutting to within 2 inches of the base, using leaves, flowers, and tender stems for your flavoring needs. Don’t cut too much too soon.
TIPS Thyme can be established as a perennial herb in your garden, though will go dormant in the winter. Once the warm weather returns, so will new growth.
