Zinnia California Giants (Zinnia eleganz) is an heirloom mix of zinnia seeds with large blooms 5 inches across atop four foot tall plants and contains the following: Orange King, Luminosa, Cherry Queen, Violet Queen, Polar Bear, and Canary Bird.
Zinnias grow best in the spring, after danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed and dried out a bit. Plant zinnia seeds in the sunniest location possible on a healthy soil that’s been cleared of other plants. Allow 1 week for germination to occur and at least 10 to 12 weeks for blooms to appear. Plant at a rate of 1 ounce per 100 square feet.
