English Lavender ‘Vera’ – Lavandula angustifolia
A beautifully fragrant flower atop 2 to 3 feet tall plants. Great as a garden ornamental that attracts bees and butterflies, a medicinal herb, or a cut flower to bring indoors.
SOW seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before you last frost date 1/8 inch deep in individual containers. Plant outside in the spring spaced 12 inches apart.
HARVEST flowers on long stems to display as fresh flowers or hang upside down to dry and display for years to come. Flowers begin to bloom in about 100 days.
TIPS Lavender is a slow growing plant that sometimes will not flower until its second year of growth. In zones 4 and above it will survive winter as a perennial.
