Bush Bean ‘Provider’ – Lepidium sativum
A variety that always seems to provide, even in less than ideal conditions. Compact 18 inch vines produce clusters of 6 inch long crunchy and flavorful pods.
SOW seeds outdoors 1 inch deep and about 2 inches apart in rows 2 feet apart. Wait several weeks after your last frost date until soil temperatures have begun to rise or risk poor germination.
HARVEST pods as soon as they are ready otherwise they can become woody and the plants will slow production.
TIPS Pick beans every 2 to 3 days to encourage plants to keep producing new fruit. Sow every 3 weeks for a continual harvest throughout the year.
