French Marigold Sparky Mix

$6.97

A fun, colorful, and easy to grow variety of the old time favorite marigold. Like all marigolds, this variety is very easy to grow and works great to attract beneficial insects to your vegetable garden.

Premium packaging with reusable zipper and complete planting instructions make this great for gift giving or seasonal storage.

French Marigold Sparky Mix (Tagetes patula) is a popular variety of marigold that grows 12-18 inches tall and blooms in mixed shades of orange and yellow. The blooms are smaller, though more prolific, than its relative the African Marigold. A great choice for adding to vegetable gardens and small pots.

Marigolds grow best in the spring, after danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed and dried out a bit. Plant marigold seeds in the sunniest location possible on a healthy soil that’s been cleared of other plants.  Allow 1 week for germination to occur and at least 8 to 10 weeks for blooms to appear. Plant at a rate of 1 ounce per 100 square feet.

The journey of growing your own plants from seeds is rewarding, but can also have its challenges.
