The Cal Wonder Sweet Pepper is an heirloom that has set the standard for bell peppers. Chop them to add a sweet and refreshing crunch to any recipe, or roast them to add a smoke component to blend into a sauce or hummus. These peppers will grow to be 4-5 inches long, and span 4 inches across with a thick and glossy sweet red flesh. The large plants will grow to be 2-2.5 feet with an abundance of fruit.

Pepper plants need more phosphorus than other vegetables and will benefit from being watered in with a high phosphorus solution when transplanted.

Sow seeds indoors 8 weeks before transplanting outdoors into warm weather. If possible, use a seed heat mat or other method to maintain soil temperatures of 80 to 90 degrees.
Harvest:
Harvest peppers when they are green for a mild taste, or when they have turned bright red for a sweeter taste.
