Plant Preferences:
Lettuce likes a cool, well drained, and fertile soil. The seeds can be very sensitive to high temperatures and light. Sprout seeds in cool and/or darker areas to combat heat.
When to Sow:
Lettuce is very much a cool weather plant and can be one of the first vegetables you plant in the spring. The seeds prefer a soil temperature of 65-75 degrees, and will struggle with temperatures over 80 degrees. However, this variety is heat tolerant and will continue to grow in heat once the seedlings are established. Start seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before planting out, or plant directly in cool garden soil.

Baby Leaf: 28-35 days
Full Size: 55-60 days
Sowing Depth:
1/8"-1/4"
Plant Spacing:
Baby Leaf: Sow seeds in 2" wide bands, seeds approximately 3/4" apart, and bands about 4" apart.
Full Size: Sow seeds as described above, but thin seedlings out to 8"-10" spacing.
